The Drummers Collective and Bass Collective, America’s leading independent music school for the study of drums and bass, have announced the immediate launch of a new web address for all of the schools' electronic contacts and media: www.thecollectivenyc.com. Founded in 1977, the school was acquired by Paul Siegel and Rob Wallis in 1980 and Collective has grown from a local New York City drum school to a professional music education center for drums, bass, guitar and keyboards over the last 25 years.
According to the school’s managing director and co-owner, John Castellano, the new URL has been selected because it is more representative of the school’s international image and will enable aspiring musicians from around the world to access the Collective’s vast resources, including information on facilities, courses, faculty, alumni, events, forums and online Pro Shop as well as application forms for enrollment and financial aid. Also featured on the site is a virtual tour of the school and in-depth explanation of the Collective’s unique rhythm section oriented curriculum.
