Pacific Drums and Percussion has dramatically updated their web site with a new "PDP" logo, a more extreme sports-influenced graphic design and the inclusion of many new interactive areas for drummers of all ages to explore. Defined by three major areas "Gear," "Jamroom," and "411" the completely redesigned site is located at www.pacificdrums.com and features loads of exciting Flash animation and audio.
In "Gear," visitors can get the latest information on Pacific Drums, Pedals, Hardware, Snare Drums, Accessories and Swag as well as new products on the special "Fresh Gear" page. In this area, visitors control the appearance of Flash movies, images and text by maneuvering through a variety of mouse-clicks, mouse-overs and hidden links.
The "Jamroom" section of the site is totally drummer focused. Many of today’s most popular drummers are featured on the site along with detailed information such as discographies, biographies, drum and cymbal setups, live photos, and, in some cases, audio interviews. Several players have even contributed music for free downloads. Plus, in a brand-new section called "Playback," visitors can learn about modern drumming styles from different artists and then download the articles, musical examples and exercises.
"411" provides an abundance of useful information, including downloadable catalogs and instruction sheets. Visitors can also contact Pacific and search for Pacific dealers while in the "411" section.
In addition to the expanded content and interactive features on the new site, drummers can also enter to win Pacific drums and other cool drum stuff by logging on to the site’s contest pages. For example, the introductory contest is a joint promotion with Drum! Magazine that includes a variety of Pacific drums, Zildjian ZBT cymbals, Vic Firth sticks, Hudson Music Videos and Kaces drum bags. More contests as well as additional product news, artist interviews, video clips and audio files are planned to keep the site fresh making it almost as much fun to visit as it is to actually play Pacific drums.
